Suzanne M. Bieker • RDH, B.S.

Suzanne has been practicing hygiene for five years. She has an up to date C.U. education. Her previous thirteen years as a nanny comes in handy when working with the children and her love for serving others with exceptional care is individually tailored towards her adult population. She loves the challenge of understanding her patients on a clinical, emotional, and personal level. Patient education is critical and she believes strongly in giving the patients the tools to better their oral health.

Suzanne graduated from the University of Colorado Health Science Center Dental Hygiene program in 2007 as a R.D.H. with a Bachelor of Science degree. During this time of study, she volunteered at several clinics in the Denver area including: Denver Health, Clinica Campesina, New Hope, Howard Dental, Salud, and the Special Care Clinic at the University. She also spent some time in Public Health and helped in several school systems with the Chopper Topper program. She also had a teaching opportunity where she created lesson plans and taught to a group of Girl Scouts to help them earn their badge. Prior to entering the hygiene program, she went on a Missions Trip to Tepic, Mexico to volunteer in treating children with dental needs.

Suzanne has a lot to offer in the way of experience, as she works part time with Assistance On Call, Inc. This is an agency that staffs dental offices in the Metro Denver area. She has been to over a hundred different offices to fill in for their hygiene needs. This offers an opportunity to continuously learn about different ideas, philosophies, systems, and products. She is able to take these ideas and incorporate some of them into our office. Along with "on the job" education, she also participates in continuing education. She has also worked in the past as a dental assistant and in 2003, had Orthognathic jaw surgery on both jaws.

On a personal level, Suzanne is from a family of twelve children. She grew up in Harlan, Iowa. She had a lot of responsibility as the oldest child. Her responsibilities carry through and are evident in her work today. She worked many years as a nanny and was truly blessed with the many travel opportunities. she recently bought a house and when she is not working, there are many projects to be done. Hiking, Skiing, walking, camping....anything to do with nature and the outdoors are her passions. She loves people and truly invests in getting to know and understand them. Family and friends are a very important part of her life.

Amber Watson • Business Assistant

Amber's smile will be the first thing you see when you walk into our office. Amber has a servant's heart and is willing to do whatever it takes to help you with your wants and needs weather it is researching insurance benefits, scheduling appointments to fit your busy schedule, or serving a warm cup of tea. Amber joined the team four years ago and has really learned the business from many different angles.

Amber's thirst for knowledge is evident, as she participates in courses to help keep the office up to date. Insurance, business management, marketing, CDT dental coding are to name a few. She is also certified in basic radiation. Amber has even been to a few implant courses and is being cross-trained in the back with patients because she desires to learn more of the specifics about dental procedures.

Amber has gone through orthodontics, had her wisdom teeth removed, and has undergone dental treatment since working in our office. She not only knows the treatment procedures, but has experienced them herself. She is always willing to answer your questions or will find the answer for you. She is also very connected with our specialist and has their phone number right at hand if needed.

It is a little surprising to know that in the past, Amber was a security officer doing dispatch. This job taught her communication, computer, and organization skills. She is definately a multi-tasker. On her off time, Amber loves to spend time with her golden retriever, Angel and her new little kittens. Family is very special and spending time with them is a priority. Amber enjoys camping, attending a good movie, and learning a new country line dance. In whatever she does, Amber strives to make God a part of every decision and action which gives her a sense of peace and a joy that is evident when you meet her.

Christie Algiene • Dental Assistant

Christie has been a dental assistant for over thirty years.  She previously worked with Dr. Harvey, who used to own the practice, and was a tremendous help in the transition when Dr. Engler purchased it. Christie is the “glue” that holds the office together.   Offering her wide range of skills as an assistant is what she shines at but she also keeps our office in “ship shape” by keeping supplies stocked and working closely with product representatives. She is Dr. Engler’s “right-hand woman”.  Christie, at one time worked in an orthodontic office where she learned a lot about how to work with the younger population.  She is wonderful with children and we are never sure who is having more fun. One of the special gifts the Lord has given her is her adult special needs son. The Lord has blessed her with a special heart for those with challenges in their lives.  Christie has an array of experience, but her love lies especially in oral surgery.

As the mother of three young adult children, when she is not in the dental office you can find her hiking with her family, walking the family dogs, at a Bible study, bargain hunting or just doing what it takes to keep their busy household humming. She and her husband are natives of Colorado and love all Colorado has to offer. Christie looks forward to meeting you and learning more about your family and about the path the Lord has led you on.

We are pleased you came to this page to learn more about us. We hope we have not disappointed you that you will not find a professional photo as is typical of most dental web pages. We hope we are not your typical dental office. We believe meeting us in person will tell you so much more than a posed picture. Therefore we invite you to stop by unannounced to meet us and see our office; have a cup of coffee or tea and say “Hi”. If you require an examination or specific treatment we request that you make an appointment so we have time reserved specifically for you.

Why do we invite you to stop by? Many years ago my husband was in search of a physician for our family. Being an engineer he needed some “data” to make this important choice for our future. His plan, which worked well, was to go to each office meet the staff and the doctor and just sit in the waiting room. By sitting in the waiting room, he was able to see how the staff and physician interacted and spoke with the patients. This lesson has always stuck with me and we invite you to do the same. So “neighbor” you are welcome come in and meet us if we are not the right dental office for you we truly understand.

Thank you…Dr. Engler
